Andrew Jenkin
Born in 1976 and originally from Crewe in Cheshire, Andrew Jenkin has lived in Honley near Holmfirth most of his life. He spent three years at Keele University in Staffordshire where he obtained an Honours degree in History and Ancient History.
Andrew began painting in 1999 at evening classes run by artist Linda Pettican at
Armitage Bridge, near Huddersfield. Honley artist Vera Waddington has encouraged
him in his efforts, and introduced him to the Huddersfield Art Society where he is
now Secretary. Working from his studio in a nineteenth-
