Danny_Abrahams_Watching-the_Sky_Drift_By_original_DA60

Brighouse artist Danny Abrahams has established himself as one of the UK’s best-loved, most collectible artists and this is his first exhibition in his home town.

Danny’s paintings are hugely popular so our current exhibition is a great opportunity to see his latest work.

Danny commented “Growing up in the eighties, I’m from a generation of kids that played out in the streets. It was a time of innocence, a carefree time filled with fun and adventure. So I use my imagination and fall into a world where summer holidays last forever and snowfalls are over the top of your wellies! Never stop dreaming!!”

Art has now become the focal point of Danny’s life. As a true Yorkshire man he is influenced by the local beauty of the northern landscape and has been inspired by his many travels around the region. Combining these images with memories of ‘growing up’ appeals to everyone with a soft spot for nostalgia. The magical sky is a powerful subject in his work. The overall beauty, emptiness, rawness and power of the everyday natural wonder that most of us take for granted, sets the backdrop for many of his romantic works.

Danny Abrahams

Brighouse artist Danny Abrahams is a self-taught landscape artist. A late comer to the art world it was his girlfriend Danielle who bought him his first set of paints at the age of 32, to fill the void that had been left by no longer playing music in a band.

He is now one of the UK’s best-loved, most collectible artists.Instantly Danny fell in love with art and had plenty of late nights experimenting with different mediums and techniques to find his own style. It was a fast learning curve of around two years before he started to realise his full potential. Eventually he was able to quit his job and start to make a living from selling his work. He now exhibits his work in many galleries branching out as far as London and Scotland.
